Claudia will prepare you traditional tasty dishes, sometimes revisited and served according to her husband Mario’s original and imaginative touch.
STARTERS: Raw Meat with Salad dressed with hazelnut oil, which gives it a particular and delicious flavour; Turkey-hen dressed with balsamic vinegar; Peppers dressed with Bagna Caôda or our Summery Sauce; Vegetable Flan served with the Castelmagno Cream; Robiola di Cocconato (typical soft cheese) with Courgette Cream and our renowned Eels ‘in carpione’ (fried marinated eels).
FIRST COURSES: Agnolotti ai tre Arrosti (square shaped pasta stuffed with three different kinds of roast meat), Tajarin (typical Piedmontese pasta) with Porcini Mushrooms or Fresh Vegetables.
SECOND COURSES: Braised Meat, Stracotto (beef stewed in red wine), Guinea-fowl, Rabbit Roll with hazelnuts, Chicken with Boscaiola Sauce. Only on request: Fritto Misto alla Piemontese (Piedmontese mixture of fried meat and food), Bagna Caôda (anchovy and garlic based dip), Hare, Mushrooms, Frogs and Snails. During winter time, you may taste Polenta served with Baccalà (salt cod), a typical dish of Veneto, the place of Claudia’s parents.
DESSERTS: Bunet alla Monferrina, Macaroon Semifreddo, Hazelnut Cake, Apple Cake, Fresh Jam Tart. If you celebrate a special occasion, Grandma Gianna will prepare you delicious Cream Cakes or a Fruit Tarts. At the end of your meal, together with coffee, you can taste some ‘Brut e Bon’ or ‘Baci di Dama’, tasty Piedmontese hazelnut cookies.
